Dr. Glenn Nathan

Dr. Glenn A. Nathan has practiced implant and oral and maxillofacial surgery in our five Suburban Maryland /DC area locations since 1985. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University in 1981 and completed a surgical internship at the University of Pittsburgh in 1982. He then went on to Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York where following his selection as chief resident he received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1985.

Since entering private practice Dr. Nathan has been involved teaching graduate dentistry through the Prince Georges Hospital Dental residency program. He also served as Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. In 1996 Dr. Nathan was elected President of the Southern Maryland Dental Society, Maryland’s largest American Dental Association’s component. He also served as a Maryland State delegate for ten years. Dr. Nathan is an active member in numerous other professional societies including: The International, American and Maryland Associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery societies, the American Anesthesia Society, and the American Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Nathan has been twice selected as a Washingtonian Magazine “Best Dentist” and has been the team Oral Surgeon for the University of Maryland since 1995. In 1998, the prestigious American College of Dentists bestowed an additional degree upon Dr. Nathan for his combined contributions to Oral Surgery, the dental professional community, and to oral surgery/dental publications.

Dr. Nathan’s private practice includes the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis on office based outpatient procedures. These include dento-alveolar and extraction surgery, dental implant surgery, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, cosmetics, oral pathology, and intra-venous sedation anesthesia. He is a leader in the implant community having placed nearly 1000 implants. He has also emerged as a leader in the continuing education arena providing over 50 CE hours a year to the dental community. Washingtonian Magazine Top Dentists 2006 and 2009.
